An even easier SIM: e-SIM

eSIM stands for "Electronic Subscriber Identity Module" and is a new technology that is considered an alternative to traditional SIM cards that we use in all our mobile phones and devices. This new technology was recently adopted by GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association” which is the Trade Body that represents the interests of mobile network operators worldwide.

Through this new technology, the SIM card got embedded within the device where the user won’t need to remove it but will be able to easily move from one operator to another. In the near future, eSIM will be used in wearable, Smart Homes as well as in cars.
