It is sometimes difficult to differentiate between these three expressions widely used by telecommunications operators. These icons appear on the mobile next to the network bars and reflect the type of mobile network you are connected to. Each generation of mobile network (2G, 3G, 4G) corresponds to a new technology (GSM, GPRS, Edge, UMTS). As a result, the mobile network gains performance and data travels more quickly. 4G offers very high mobile speed compared to the two previous generations. 3G, on the other hand, offers improved speeds that are significantly better than 2G. With these generations of mobile telephone standards, the customer benefits from a good experience since these better speeds improve the quality of the existing service and enable new uses (mobile internet, television, etc.).
